Ich kenne dieses Tonic Water schon seit gut 2 Jahren aus dem Urlaub in Belgien – in Deutschland habe ich diese Sorte von FEVER-TREE leider bisher nirgendwo gesehen. In Belgien hingegen bekomme ich es in fast jedem größeren Supermarkt problemlos.
Somit decke ich mich imemr gut mit Vorräten ein, wenn wir mal wieder in Belgien sind.
Warum es diese Sorte nicht in Deutschland gibt (wenn jemand was anderes weiß kann er mir dies gerne mitteilen) verstehe ich nicht, aber es scheint derzeit (Februar 2019) wohl so zu sein.

Hersteller des Tonics ist Fever-Tree. Die Firma wurde 2004 in London (GB) gegründet und überzeugt mit hochwertigen Softdrinks in Premium-Qualität.

Dieses Tonic begeisterte mich vom ersten Tag an, da es einfach „anders“ als so ein 0815-Tonic schmeckt. Es hat ein tolles, nicht zu aufdringliches Aroma von Klementine und zusätzlich noch Zimt – eine perfekte Mischung finde ich. Gerade auch der leichte Zimt-Touch kommt in Kombination mit dem richtigen Gin durchaus leicht zum Vorschein.
Die Kohlensäure ist etwas stärker ausgeprägt, was mir persönlich ebenfalls sehr gut gefällt, da ich es gerne mit was mehr „Blub“ mag.

Ich kombiniere dieses Tonic meistens mit einem neutraleren Gin, damit das Klementinen und Zimtaroma im Geschmack erhalten bleibt und nicht von anderen Aromen überdeckt wird, aber das ist natürlich persönliche Geschmackssache, Ausnahme: siehe Empfehlung weiter unten!

Meine Lieblings-Kombination für einen Gin & Tonic mit diesem Tonic Water: Marula Gin (Botanical-lastig, Geschmack der Marula-Frucht), Ophir Gin (Kardamom-Lastig)

MEIN FAZIT ZU DIESEM TONIC

Dieses Tonic gehört zur Kategorie der aromatisierten Tonic Water, was in einem Gin&Tonic nochmal ganz neue Geschmackskomponenten zum Vorschein bringt. Dieses Tonic gehört definitiv mit zu meinen absouten Favoriten, da der Mandarinen-Geschmack in Kombination mit dem Zimt-Aroma wirklich richtig gut schmeckt!
