Ein weiterer Gin der den Weg in meiner Sammlung geschafft hat ist der Le Tribute aus Spanien. Das schlichte aber dennoch sehr ansprechende Flaschendesign hat mich dazu gebracht, ihn zu kaufen und zu testen.

Mit einem Alkoholgehalt von 43% vol. liegt er hier im „normalen“ Bereich für Gin’s.

Die Flasche kommt in edler und fast schon nostalgischer Optik daher, in quadratischer Form mit horizontalen Rillen – auf jeden Fall ein Hingucker im Gin-Regal. Der Deckel ist in Zink-Farbe hochglänzend ein optisches Highlight – schraubt man den Deckel ab und hält in in der Hand merkt man, dass dieser sehr massiv gearbeitet ist – er fühlt sich massiv an und macht einen sehr hochwertigen Eindruck.

Beim ersten Öffnen der Flasche strömt einem ein angenehm intensiver, aber von fruchtigen Noten durchzogener Duft entgegen – das macht Lust auf mehr! Hier ist klar das Wacholder-Aroma zu riechen, aber nicht zu aufdringlich.

Dieser spanische Gin wird mit sieben Botanicals aromatisiert, darunter Wacholderbeeren, Limette, Kumquat, Zitrusfrüchte wie Mandarinen sowie Kardamom und Zitronengras – eine spannende Kombination.

Die beste Kombination die ich bisher gefunden habe ist das gleichnamige Tonic Water des gleichen Herstellers „Le Tribute„. Die beiden Komponenten ergänzen sich einfach unfassbar gut und das Ergebnis ist einer meiner Lieblings Gin&Tonic die ich bisher gefunden habe!

Aber auch z.B. das FEVER-TREE Mediterran passt sehr gut zu diesem Gin.

MEIN FAZIT ZU DIESEM GIN

Ein wirklich toller und frischer Gin mit interessanten Botanicals – sehr gut für Gin Tonic geeignet (idealerweise mit Tonic Water des Herstellers „Le Tribute“, welches man unter anderem in Belgien bekommt, aber auch online beziehen kann. Auch mit „normalem“ Tonic Water schmeckt er aber sehr gut

    Die Flaschen sind im auffälligen, viereckigen Design (Jugendstil), ebenso wie es auch die Flasche des Le Tribute Gin ist.

    Ein weiteres sehr spannendes Tonic Water, welches ich bereits probiert habe, ist das Tonic Water von „Le Tribute“, das – wie der gleichnamige Gin – in Spanien in der Nähe von Barcelona produziert wird.

    Dieses Tonic überzeugt mich durch seinen frischen Geschmack, bei dem Aromen von Zitrus und Grapefruit durchkommen, aber auch eine gewisse Bitterkeit enthalten ist – für mich wichtig bei einem guten Tonic. Besonderheit hierbei: auch eine leichte Note von Rosmarin ist durchaus wahrnehmbar und macht dieses Tonic somit zu etwas Besonderem.
    Die Kohlensäure ist etwas stärker ausgeprägt, was mir sehr gut gefällt.

    Ich kombiniere dieses Tonic meistens mit einem neutraleren Gin, es passt aber auch durchaus gut zu aromatischeren Gins, welche selber noch durch die Botanicals eine weitere Geschmacksnote mit einbringen.

    Meine Lieblings-Kombination für einen Gin & Tonic mit diesem Tonic Water: Le Tribute Gin

    MEIN FAZIT ZU DIESEM TONIC

    Ein tolles, aber etwas außergewöhnlicheres Tonic Water. Pur auf den ersten Schluck schmeckt es erstmal gar nicht unbedingt wie ein „klassisches Tonic“, kombiniert mit einem guten Gin aber schmeckt es richtig gut. Passt perfekt zum gleichnamigen Gin „LE TRIBUTE“
