Die Verschlusskappe ist aus Holz, der Verschluss selber besteht (leider) aus künstlichem Kork aus Kunststoff. Das Etikett ist liebevoll gestaltet und macht Lust darauf, diesen Gin zu probieren.<br />
Auch bei diesem „Gin“ (New Western) spielt der Wacholder eine sehr dezente und untergeordnete Rolle und ist geschmacklich nur schwach wahrnehmbar.</p>
<p>Hergestellt wird dieser Gin in Deutschland in München durch die Finest Beverages GmbH</p>

Hier dominieren ganz eindeutig <strong>Heidelbeeren</strong> – und dies in Perfektion. Das Ganze riecht hier wirklich nicht nach Gin, man könnte glatt von einem Heidelbeerlikör oder ähnlichem ausgehen, wenn man nur den Duft in der Nase hat. Insgesamt kommen bei diesem Gin 22 Botanicals laut Hersteller zum Einsatz.</p>
<p>Ich bin generell kein Pur-Trinker von Spirituosen – so auch nicht von Gin. Hier könnte ich mich jedoch glatt zu einer Ausnahme hinreißen lassen, denn der Huckleberry Gin ist wirklich mild und die fruchtigen Noten sind sehr präsent. Dennoch bevorzuge ich auch bei diesem Gin die Kombination mit einem guten Tonic Water (z.B. Thomas Henry oder auch Fever-Tree).<br />
Durch die Zugabe des Tonics entfalten sich die Aromen dieses Gins nochmals besser und auch hier ist beim Riechen am Glas die Heidelbeere absolut im Vordergrund, was mir sehr gut gefällt. Auch beim Trinken ändert sich dieser Gesamteindruck nicht, denn das fruchtig-beerige Erlebnis setzt sich auch beim Verkosten fort. Die Aromen wirken bei diesem Gin ebenfalls sehr authentisch und natürlich; man merkt somit sofort, dass hier mit Liebe zum Detail und hochwertigen Zutaten gearbeitet wird.</p>

Aber auch ein klassisches Thomas Henry oder FEVER-TREE passt hier wunderbar.</p>
