Auf dem Etikett steht lediglich „Rubus Gin“ – wobei das Wort gin durchgestrichen ist. Dies hat durchaus einen Grund, denn dieser New Western „Gin“ hat mit dem klassischen Gin mit dominanten Wacholder-Noten und Aromen relativ wenig am Hut.</p>
<p>Hergestellt wird dieser Gin in Deutschland in Bötzingen durch die Firma „Faude Feine Brände“.</p>

Fruchtig-säuerliche Noten liegen sofort in der Luft und machen Lust auf mehr. Allen Aromen voran: die Himbeere. Diese ist wirklich sehr dominant im Vordergrund und wird von säuerlichen Noten begleitet, was aber insgesamt zu einem sehr runden und harmonischen Duftbild führt.</p>
<p>Auch bei diesem Gin gilt für mich: er kommt durchaus pur mit Eis im Glas in Frage! Doch auch hier bevorzuge ich wieder die Variante als Gin &amp; Tonic mit einem guten Tonic Water (auch hier würde ich wieder zu z.B. Thomas Henry oder auch Fever-Tree greifen). Nach Zugabe des Tonics entfalten sich auch hier die enthaltenen Aromen nochmals besser im Glas finde ich und beim erneuten Riechen meint man nach wie vor, an einem Strauch vollreifer Himbeeren irgendwo draußen in den Bergen zu riechen – einfach Wahnsinn!</p>
<p>Beim Trinken ändert sich an diesem Eindruck (zum Glück) nichts, denn auch hier ist die fruchtig-säuerliche Note der Himbeere ganz deutlich und präsent, was mir unheimlich gut gefällt und hervorragend schmeckt. Die Aromen wirken bei diesem Gin sehr authentisch und natürlich; man merkt somit sofort, dass hier mit Liebe zum Detail und hochwertigen Zutaten gearbeitet wird.</p>
